Newer subdivisions, young families, home upgrades, and storage cleanouts — Rio Rancho keeps us busy. We pick up entire estates and growing collections in this fast-moving city. Cash on the spot for anything worth buying. Children's books go to New Mexico Literacy Project and out to kids across NM. The rest — overprinted adult fiction, damaged material — I haul to the paper recycler myself, gaylord in the van, several times a week.
Rio Rancho is where Albuquerque people move when they upgrade — newer homes, more space, growing families. It's also where people downsize, relocate for work, and clear storage units before selling. We get a lot of young professionals, retirees, and families managing life transitions. Many brought their collections from other states or have built them over years here.
About 20 minutes from our North Valley warehouse, Rio Rancho is firmly on our pickup map. We've handled large residential moves, basement clearouts, and garage libraries in every major subdivision.
Many Rio Rancho families brought valuable collections when relocating from out of state.
Job transfers, home upgrades, downsizing — Rio Rancho is full of transitions.
Growing kids, parents clearing basements, books they've outgrown or no longer read.
Professional and entrepreneurial households with practical collections.
Lifetime libraries, estates ready to clear before moving or selling.
Rio Rancho has plenty of storage. We handle bulk pickups from unit to truck.
We handle Rio Rancho pickups within a few days of your call — usually faster on weekends.

About 20 minutes from our North Valley warehouse to most of Rio Rancho. We sort on site, evaluate everything, and make an honest offer.
Cash in hand same day. Books we bought load out; unsold books stay, or we handle them — kids' books to NMLP, the rest recycled personally.
Rio Rancho is one of our steadiest pickup locations. Young professionals, growing families, frequent moves, real inventory.
Family relocated from Colorado, brought entire library with them. Years later, they'd expanded the house and needed to clear the garage for a renovated master suite. Rather than rent another unit or haul piecemeal, they called. We picked everything in one afternoon, paid $1,200 cash for the valuable portions, and sorted the rest for NMLP readers.
Most donated books end up in dumpsters within a week. We take a different approach. Children's books we can't resell go to New Mexico Literacy Project — the literacy side of what we do from the same Edith Blvd shop — and then out to kids, schools, and early-literacy programs across New Mexico. Overprinted adult fiction and anything too damaged to read, Josh hauls to a paper recycler himself in a gaylord, several times a week. Nothing from the shop hits a landfill.
It's not a registered non-profit or a charity — just what we do with books that don't have resale value.

Yes. Rio Rancho is about 20 minutes from our North Valley warehouse. We're out there regularly and we know the subdivisions well. Free pickup for collections of 300+ books.
We prefer 300+ books for free pickup in Rio Rancho. Smaller lots can drop off at our Unit A-2 warehouse, or call us anyway if it's rare material or a unique situation — we work it out.
That's exactly what we do. Storage unit pickups are common in Rio Rancho. Call with the unit size or rough book count, and we'll plan logistics. We can usually coordinate same-day or next-day pickup.
That's our strength. We know first editions, signed copies, Southwest authors, antiquarian material. If you have questions about value, call us before you donate or sell elsewhere.
Books I can't pay cash for — or that you'd rather just give away — get donated right here through the New Mexico Literacy Project. Same warehouse, free 24/7 drop-off, or I'll pick up for you. Nothing to the landfill.
